Robert Ehrhardt ("PasswordSafe", "us", "we", or "our") operates the Password Safe mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Personal and Usage Data

Password Safe does not collect or use any specific data of your entered data in the mobile application.

All entered data are completely encrypted with AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256bit key length. Password Safe neither "knows" nor stores the master password of the user in clear text. As no method of storage or transmission can ever achieve 100% security, Password Safe cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your content is not saved on our servers nor do we have access to this data. This data is saved as encrypted database files locally on device and, in case you are using the iCloud function of the application, synchronized with your personal iCloud Drive storage (Apple service). iCloud Drive creates backups of your data and syncs it between your devices automatically. You always have the option to disable iCloud from the system settings.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Password Safe legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

Retention of Data

All your data stored within the mobile applications are stored in an encrypted database, which wont be shared to any services automatically.

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

Password Safe uses remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to you after you visited our Service. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimise and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service.

Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The user acknowledges that the software may not be free from defects and may not satisfy all needs. Installation and usage is at users own risk.
Although PasswordSafe is tested under best efforts, it is using database technologies which may can possibly crash or also can get corrupted (data loss). The user is responsible for any possible data loss. It is highly recommended to make backups of the database regularly.

The software is provided 'as-is', without any express or implied warranty. In no event the author will be held liable for any damages arising from the use of this software.
